Qualification
The only qualification for Patent Attorneys in New Zealand is registration as a Patent Attorney. This qualification is gained through passing a series of exams that are run through the New Zealand Intellectual Property Office (IPONZ) each year. Candidates generally take three or four years to complete these exams.
Contact IPONZ (09 Patent Attorney Information) for further information. For student members of the Institute login to our member's area for exam resources such as old exam papers.
